There’s nothing standard about our oval inlays, even though they are standard on most models. On your custom order, you can select a wide variety of materials and frames to make your Alembic even more unique.

MORE ABOUT OVAL INLAYS

One of the earliest design features of our instruments, oval fingerboard inlays are an Alembic trademark. Traditionally inlaid in mother of pearl or abalone, a whole host of materials have found their way into Alembic oval inlays.
Some of the most dramatic oval inlays are lab-created opal, available in a dazzling array of colors. Contrasting wood is also a lovely choice.
Adding a sterling silver ring to the oval creates a striking look. We especially like it with abalone, so the edge is clearly defined against the fingerboard.
