LEDs
MORE ABOUT LEDs
LEDs are perhaps the most misunderstood custom option
on Alembics. Dismissed by many as a “novelty,” they
aren’t just for show (well, maybe the Laser LEDs on the
front of the fingerboard are for show!). LEDs are meant
for dimly lit playing situations, like orchestra pits
or dramatic stage settings. Once you have LEDs on your
instrument, it’s hard to imagine playing without them.
To set the brightness level, adjust the internal screwdriver
trimpot. We suggest using the lowest brightness you find
useful for longest battery life.
Most instruments
have an on/off switch to operate the LEDs, though it’s
optional on Series I and II basses. With so many
controls, many don’t see the need for an additional one
for LED operation.
