MORE ABOUT HEADSTOCK SHAPES
The Crown headstock is the classic form for Alembic basses and guitars. Originally made for 4-string bass
and 6-string guitars, we now have scores of variations for just about any number of strings. There are also several
sizes for each configuration.
For straight string pull, several shapes are available. To minimize weight, we suggest the Cone and Bump
types. Dramatic shapes like the Dragon Claw and Knobby are quite impressive when paired with the right body shape.
For certain custom orders we will adapt the design, like for very wide or very narrow string nut widths. Or, we can
create an entirely new design for your custom. Note that the examples here are just a start of our vast library of shapes.
